Sukta 9.97
महीमे अस्य वृषनाम शूषे माँश्चत्वे वा पृशने वा वधत्रे । अस्वापयन्निगुतः स्नेहयच्चापामित्राँ अपाचितो अचेतः ॥
mahī́me asyá vṛ́ṣanā́ma śūṣé māṃścátve vā́ pṛ́śane vā́ vádhatre | asvā́payann nigutáḥ snéhayać cā́pā́mitrā́n apā́cito acetáḥ ||
இவனுடைய வृष-வலத்தின் இம்மகத்தான வீர்யங்கள் மிகப் பெரிது—‘மாஂஶ்சத்வ’யிலோ, ‘ப்ருஷன்’யிலோ, அல்லது ‘வதத்ர’யிலோ. மறைந்திருப்பதை அவன் உறங்கச் செய்கிறான்; அதை நெய்மையாக்கி நெகிழச் செய்கிறான்; மேலும் பகைவர்களை—அறிவிலா, சிந்தனையிலா அசேத இயக்கங்களை—நம்மிடமிருந்து விரட்டி அகற்றுகிறான்.
