Sukta 9.97
स पुनान उप सूरे न धातोभे अप्रा रोदसी वि ष आवः । प्रिया चिद्यस्य प्रियसास ऊती स तू धनं कारिणे न प्र यंसत् ॥
sá punāná úpa sū́re ná dhātobhé aprā́ ródasī ví ṣá āvaḥ | priyā́ cíd yásya priyasā́sa ūtī́ sá tū́ dhánaṃ kāríṇe ná prá yaṃsat ||
அவன் தூய்மையடையும் போது, சூரியன் அருகே உள்ள தாதா (நிறுவுநர்) போல, இரு விரிந்த ரோதஸீ—வானும் பூமியும்—தனித்தனியாகப் பரந்து நிறையச் செய்கிறான். அவனுக்குப் பிரியமானது—அவனுடைய பிரிய உதவிகளும் ஊதிகளும்—அவற்றையும் அவன் தடுக்கான்; செயற்படுவனுக்குத் (காரிணே) செல்வத்தை அளிக்கிறான்.
