Sukta 9.97
भद्रा वस्त्रा समन्या वसानो महान्कविर्निवचनानि शंसन् । आ वच्यस्व चम्वोः पूयमानो विचक्षणो जागृविर्देववीतौ ॥
bhadrā́ vastrā samanyā́ vāsāno mahā́n kavír ni-vacanāni śáṃsan | ā́ vacyasva camvóḥ pūyamāno vi-cakṣaṇó jā́gṛvir deva-vītáu ||
மங்கலமும் ஒற்றுமையும் கொண்ட ஆடை அணிந்து, அந்த மாபெரும் கவி உள்ளத்தின் வாக்குகளைப் பிரகடனம் செய்கிறான். தூய்மையடைந்து, சமு (பாத்திரங்கள்)-களில் உச்சரிக்கத் தக்கவனாக ஆகு; விவேகமிக்க, எப்போதும் விழித்திருப்பவன் தேவவீதி (தேவர்களை அடையும் வழி)-யில் செல்கிறான்.
