अव्ये वधूयुः पवते परि त्वचि श्रथ्नीते नप्तीरदितेॠतं यते । हरिरक्रान्यजतः संयतो मदो नृम्णा शिशानो महिषो न शोभते ॥

Transliteration

ávyē vadhū-yúḥ pavate pári tváci śrathnī́te náptīr áditer ṛtáṃ yaté | hárir akrān yajatáḥ saṃyató mádo nṛmnā́ śiśāno mahiṣó ná śobhate ||

Translation

ஆட்டின் மயிர்மயமான மந்தையில் அவன் பாய்கிறான், மணப்பெண்ணை விரும்புபவன் போல; தோலைச் சுற்றி நகர்ந்து, அதிதியின் புதல்விகளைத் தளர்த்துகிறான்; அவன் ṛta-வின் பாதையில் செல்கிறான். ஹரி (மஞ்சள்-செம்மை) முன்னே அடியெடுத்து வைக்கிறான்—வழிபடத்தக்கவன், தன்னடக்கமுடைய மது; ஆத்மவலத்தால் கூர்மையடைந்து, பெரும் காளை போல ஒளிர்கிறான்.
