Sukta 9.69
इषुर्न धन्वन्प्रति धीयते मतिर्वत्सो न मातुरुप सर्ज्यूधनि । उरुधारेव दुहे अग्र आयत्यस्य व्रतेष्वपि सोम इष्यते ॥
iṣúr ná dhánvan práti dhīyate matír vatsó ná mātúr úpa sarjí ū́rdhani | urúdhārā-iva duhḗ ágre āyátī ásya vratéṣv ápi sóma iṣyate ||
வில் மீது வைக்கப்பட்ட அம்புபோல் மதி (சிந்தனை) இலக்கை நோக்கி நிலைத்து நிறுத்தப்படுகிறது; தாயின் புடைத்த துதிக்குச் கன்றுபோல் விரைந்து செல்கிறது. முன்னணியில் அது உருதாரா (விரிந்த-ஓடை) ஓடைகளைப் பிழிந்து வழங்குகிறது; தன் வ்ரதங்கள் (நியதிக் கட்டுப்பாடுகள்) உள்ளேயும் சோமன் யாக-சித்திக்காக முன்னே தள்ளிச் செல்கிறான்.
