Sukta 9.101
प्र सुन्वानस्यान्धसो मर्तो न वृत तद्वचः । अप श्वानमराधसं हता मखं न भृगवः ॥
prá sunvāná syā́ndhasaḥ márto ná vṛta tád vácaḥ | ápa śvā́nam arā́dhasaṃ hatā́ mákhaṃ ná bhṛ́gavaḥ ||
சுன்வான (பிழிந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட) அந்தஸ்—இனிய ரசத்திலிருந்து—வாக்கு முன்னே செல்லட்டும்; மனிதன் போல அது தடுக்கப்படாதிருக்கட்டும். நீதியற்ற லாபம் (அராதஸ்) தரும் குரைக்கும் நாயை அகற்று; அதை வீழ்த்து—பிருகுக்கள் யாகத்தில் மख (தடையூட்டும் சக்தி)யைத் தாக்குவது போல.
