Sukta 8.19
यूयं राजानः कं चिच्चर्षणीसहः क्षयन्तं मानुषाँ अनु । वयं ते वो वरुण मित्रार्यमन्त्स्यामेदृतस्य रथ्यः ॥
yūyáṃ rājānaḥ káṃ cit carṣaṇī-sahaḥ kṣáyantaṃ mā́nuṣām̐ ánu | vayáṃ te vo váruṇa mítrā́ryamant syā́ma íd ṛtásya rathyáḥ ||
நீங்களே அரசர்கள்—ஓ சர்ஷணீஸஹர் (மக்களைத் தாங்கும் வல்லோர்)—மனிதர்களோடு தங்கியிருப்பவர்கள். ஓ வருணா, மித்ரா, அர்யமன்! நாங்கள் உண்மையிலே உங்கள் துணையராய் இருந்து, ṛத (சத்திய-ஒழுங்கு) எனும் ரதப் பாதையில் பயணிப்போமாக.
