Sukta 5.31
आ प्र द्रव हरिवो मा वि वेनः पिशङ्गराते अभि नः सचस्व । नहि त्वदिन्द्र वस्यो अन्यदस्त्यमेनाँश्चिज्जनिवतश्चकर्थ ॥
ā́ prá drava harivo mā́ ví vénaḥ piśáṅgarāte abhí naḥ sacasva | nahí tvád índra vásyo anyád ásty amémāṃś cit jánivataś cakartha ||
ஹரிவோ (ஹரி-குதிரைகளின் ஆண்டவனே), இங்கே விரைந்து வா; எங்களை விட்டு விலகாதே. பிஷங்கராதே (ஒளிமிகு/பொன்னளிப்பவனே), எங்களிடம் அணுகி எங்களோடு இணை. ஏனெனில், இந்திரா, உன்னைவிட மேன்மையான ஆதரவு (வஸ்ய) வேறில்லை; பலவீனமும் தளர்வும் உடையவர்களையும் நீ புதுப் பிறவிக்குத் தகுதியானவர்களாக்கினாய்.
