Sukta 5.12
ऋतं चिकित्व ऋतमिच्चिकिद्ध्यृतस्य धारा अनु तृन्धि पूर्वीः । नाहं यातुं सहसा न द्वयेन ऋतं सपाम्यरुषस्य वृष्णः ॥
ṛtáṃ cikitva ṛtám íc cíkiddhy ṛtásya dhārā́ ánu tṛndhi pūrvī́ḥ | nā́haṃ yātúṃ sáhasā ná dváyena ṛtáṃ sapāmy aruṣásya vṛ́ṣṇaḥ ||
ஓ ருதத்தை அறிந்தவனே, ருதத்தை அறி; நிச்சயமாக ருதத்தையே அறி. ருதத்தின் பல பழம்பெரும் ஓடைகளின் வழியே உன் பாதையை வெட்டி முன்னேறு. வலத்தால் அதை அடைய இயலாது; இருமை-பிரிவின் வழியாலும் அல்ல; அருஷ வृषபன்—அக்னி—யின் ருதத்தைப் பின்பற்றி நான் ருதத்தை வென்று பெறுகிறேன்.
