Sukta 4.18
अयं पन्था अनुवित्तः पुराणो यतो देवा उदजायन्त विश्वे । अतश्चिदा जनिषीष्ट प्रवृद्धो मा मातरममुया पत्तवे कः ॥
ayáṃ pánthā ánu-vittaḥ purāṇó yáto devā́ ud ájāyanta víśve | atáś cid ā́ janiṣīṣṭa prá-vṛddho mā́ mātáram amuyā́ páttave káḥ ||
இதுவே மீண்டும் கண்டறியப்பட்ட பழம்பெரும் பாதை; இதிலிருந்தே எல்லாத் தேவர்களும் மேல்நோக்கி பிறந்தனர். இதிலிருந்தே, உன் வலிமையில் வளர்ந்து, நீயும் வெளிப்பிறப்பதற்கு முனைகிறாய்; ஆனால் அந்தத் தூண்டுதலால், ஓ குழந்தையே, உன் தாயைத் தாக்கச் செல்லாதே—அப்படிச் செய்வார் யார்?
