Sukta 4.17
एवा न इन्द्रो मघवा विरप्शी करत्सत्या चर्षणीधृदनर्वा । त्वं राजा जनुषां धेह्यस्मे अधि श्रवो माहिनं यज्जरित्रे ॥
evā́ na índro maghávā virapśī́ karat satyā́ carṣaṇīdhṛ́d anárvā | tváṃ rājā́ jánūṣāṃ dhehy asmè ádhi śrávo mā́hinaṃ yáj jaritré ||
இவ்வாறே எங்களுக்காக இந்திரன், மகவா, விரிந்தும் வலிமையுடனும் செயல்படச் செய்வானாக—உண்மை, மக்களைத் தாங்குபவன், தவறாதவன். நீ பிறப்புகளின் அரசன்; ஜரிதாவிற்காக எங்களுள் மேலே நிலைத்திருக்கும் ‘ஶ்ரவஸ்’ (புகழ்) மற்றும் ‘மாஹின’ (மகிமை) யை நிறுவு.
