Sukta 3.53
इम इन्द्र भरतस्य पुत्रा अपपित्वं चिकितुर्न प्रपित्वम् । हिन्वन्त्यश्वमरणं न नित्यं ज्यावाजं परि णयन्त्याजौ ॥
imá indra bharatásya putrā́ apapitváṃ cikitúr ná prapitvám | hinvánty aśvám áraṇaṃ ná nítyaṃ jyā́-vājaṃ pári nayanty ājāú ||
இந்திரா, பரதனின் இப்புதல்வர்கள் ‘அபபித்வ’ (வீழ்ச்சியின்றி நிலைதல்) என்னும் கலையை அறிந்தவர்கள்; ‘ப்ரபித்வ’ (சரிவு) அல்ல. அவர்கள் சோர்வுறாத குதிரையையே செலுத்துகிறார்கள்; எப்போதும் தளரும் ஒன்றை அல்ல. போர்க்களத்தில் வில்லின் வலிமையுடன் கூடிய நிறைவு-சக்தியை வெற்றிக்குத் திருப்பி நடத்துகிறார்கள்.
