माध्यंदिनस्य सवनस्य धानाः पुरोळाशमिन्द्र कृष्वेह चारुम् । प्र यत्स्तोता जरिता तूर्ण्यर्थो वृषायमाण उप गीर्भिरीट्टे ॥
mā́dhyandinasya sávanaśya dhānā́ḥ puroḷā́śam indra kṛṣvehá cā́rum | prá yát stotā́ jaritā́ tūrṇyàrtho vṛṣāyámāṇa úpa gīrbhír ī́ṭṭe ||
மத்தியானச் சவனத்திற்காக, இந்திரா, இங்கே தானியங்களையும் புரோளாசத்தையும் அழகாகவும் பயனளிப்பதாகவும் ஆக்கு. ஏனெனில் புகழ்பாடும் பாடகர்—ஜரிதா—நோக்கில் விரைந்து, காளை-வலிமையாய் முன்னேறி அருகே வந்து, தரிசனத்தைத் தாங்கிய சொற்களால் உன்னை வழிபடுகிறான்.
