Sukta 3.22
अग्ने दिवो अर्णमच्छा जिगास्यच्छा देवाँ ऊचिषे धिष्ण्या ये । या रोचने परस्तात्सूर्यस्य याश्चावस्तादुपतिष्ठन्त आपः ॥
agné divó arṇám ácchā jigāsy ácchā devā́m̐ ūciṣe dhíṣṇyā yé | yā́ rocáne parástāt sū́ryasya yā́ś cāvástād upatíṣṭhanta ā́paḥ ||
அக்னியே, நீ திவஸின் அர்ணவம் (பெருக்கம்/கடல்) நோக்கிச் செல்ல விரும்புகிறாய்; திஷ்ண்ய (சக்தி-ஆசனம்) ஆகிய தேவர்களை நீ அழைக்கிறாய். சூரியனுக்கு அப்பாலுள்ள ரோசன (ஒளிமிகு உலகம்) இல் நிலைத்துள்ள அபः (நீர்கள்) மற்றும் கீழே நிலைத்துள்ள அபः—அவை எங்களுள் ஒளியின் ஏற்றமும் இறக்கமும் தாங்கட்டும்।
