Sukta 2.38
अस्मभ्यं तद्दिवो अद्भ्यः पृथिव्यास्त्वया दत्तं काम्यं राध आ गात् । शं यत्स्तोतृभ्य आपये भवात्युरुशंसाय सवितर्जरित्रे ॥
asmábhyaṃ tád divó adbhyáḥ pṛthivyā́s tváyā dattáṃ kā́myaṃ rā́dha ā́ gāt | śáṃ yát stotṛ́-bhya ā́paye bhávāty uru-śáṃsāya savitar jaritré ||
ஓ சவிதர், திவ (வானம்) இலிருந்து, அத்ப்யः (நீரிலிருந்து) மற்றும் ப்ருதிவி (பூமி) இலிருந்து—உம்மால் அளிக்கப்பட்ட அந்த காம்ய ராதஸ் (விரும்பத்தக்க தானம்/செழிப்பு) எங்களிடம் வந்து சேர்வதாக. மேலும் அது ஸ்தோத்ருப்யः (பாடுவோருக்கு) சாந்தியும் வளர்ச்சியும் அளிப்பதாக—உருஷம்ஸ (பெரிதும் புகழப்படுபவன்) காக, ஓ சவிதர், ஜரித்ர (ஸ்துதி செய்பவன்) காக அமையட்டும்.
