Sukta 10.40
जनिष्ट योषा पतयत्कनीनको वि चारुहन्वीरुधो दंसना अनु । आस्मै रीयन्ते निवनेव सिन्धवोऽस्मा अह्ने भवति तत्पतित्वनम् ॥
janiṣṭha yóṣā patáyat kanīnakaḥ ví cā́ru-hanvī́rudho daṃsanā́ ánu | ā́smāi rīyante nivanéva síndhavo 'smā́ ahné bhavati tát patitvánam ||
கன்னி பிறக்கிறாள்; இளைஞன் (கனீனக) அவளிடம் பறந்து/வேகமாகச் செல்கிறான்; அழகிய தாடையுடைய (சாருஹன்வீ) சக்திகள் செயல்-திறன் (தம்ஸனா) வழியே தொடர்கின்றன. அவனுக்காக ஓடைகள் சரிவை நோக்கி பாய்வதுபோல் பாய்கின்றன; அந்த நாளில் அவனுக்குப் பதித்வம்—ஆட்சி/உரிமையின் நிலை—உண்டாகிறது.
