तन्नु वोचाम रभसाय जन्मने पूर्वं महित्वं वृषभस्य केतवे । ऐधेव यामन्मरुतस्तुविष्वणो युधेव शक्रास्तविषाणि कर्तन ॥
tán nu vocāma rabhasā́ya jánmane pū́rvaṁ mahitváṁ vṛṣabhásya ketáve | aidhéva yā́man marutas tuvi-sváṇo yudhéva śakrās taviṣā́ṇi kartana ||
இப்போது நாம் அந்த வேகமிகு பிறப்பையும், ஒளிமிகு கேது (அடையாளம்) பொருட்டு அந்த வृषபன் (வலிமைமிகு) ஆதிமகிமையையும் உரைப்போம். ஹே பேரொலியுடைய மருதர்களே, உங்கள் பயணத்தில் எரியூட்டப்பட்ட அக்னிபோல்; ஹே சக்ரர்கள் (வல்லோர்) வீரர்களே, போரில் போராளிகளைப் போல, நீங்கள் வலிமையின் செயல்களை வடிவமைக்கிறீர்கள்.
