Crossing the Gaṅgā; Sumantra’s Return; Adoption of Ascetic Signs
तं निशम्य समादेशं गुहामात्यगणो महान्।उपोह्य रुचिरां नावं गुहाय प्रत्यवेदयत्।।2.52.7।।
taṃ niśamya samādeśaṃ guhāmātyagaṇo mahān | upohya rucirāṃ nāvaṃ guhāya pratyavedayat || 2.52.7 ||
அவ்வாணையைச் செவிமடுத்த குகனின் உயரிய அமைச்சர்கள் அழகிய படகை கொண்டு வந்து, குகனிடம்—“ஆணை நிறைவேறியது” என்று அறிவித்தனர்.
The ministers heard the orders, soon brought a beautiful boat and informed Guha (that his orders have been carried out).
Dharma here is dutiful service and prompt obedience to rightful authority: Guha’s officials execute the instruction efficiently and report completion.
At Guha’s settlement by the Gaṅgā, arrangements are being made to help Rāma’s party cross the river; the ministers procure a boat and inform Guha.
Administrative diligence and loyalty—ministers act without delay, showing disciplined support to their ruler and guests.
