இந்த ஒற்றை-மந்திரச் சூக்தம் சரஸ்வதியை, அவளுடைய “ஸ்தனம்” (மார்பு/பால்-மூலம்)—அழியாத, இனிய, ஊட்டமளிக்கும் ஓட்டத்தின் சின்னம்—என்ற உயிர்ப்பான உருவகத்தின் மூலம் அழைக்கிறது; இதனால் எல்லா விரும்பத்தக்க செல்வங்களும் செழிக்க வேண்டுமென வேண்டுகிறது. இது செழிப்பு-மற்றும்-ஊட்டச்சத்து சார்ந்த மந்திரச் செயல்: அவளை மகிழ்வளிப்பவள், அருள் நாடத்தக்கவள், எளிதில் அழைக்கத்தக்கவள், தானத்தில் தாராளமானவள் என்று புகழ்ந்து, பாராயணம் செய்பவர் உடனடியாக வளர்ச்சி, வளம், மற்றும் செழித்து நிற்கும் மதிப்புமிக்க செல்வங்களின் அருளைப் பெற விரும்புகிறார்.
