Sukta 21
न ता न॑शन्ति॒ न द॑भाति॒ तस्क॑रो॒ नासा॑मामि॒त्रो व्य॒थिरा द॑धर्षति । दे॒वांश्च याभि॒र्यज॑ते॒ ददा॑ति च॒ ज्योगित् ताभिः॑ सचते॒ गोप॑तिः स॒ह
ná tā́ naśanti ná dabhāti táskaraḥ ná āsā́m ámitro vyathírā dadharṣati | devā́ṃś ca yā́bhir yájate dádāti ca jyók íd tā́bhiḥ sacate gopátiḥ sáha
They perish not; the thief harms them not; no enemy, making terror, dares assail them. With them wherewith he worships the Gods and gives, for long time indeed with them abides the Lord of Cows, together.
அவை அழிவதில்லை; திருடன் அவற்றுக்கு தீங்கு செய்ய முடியாது; அச்சம் விளைவிக்கும் எந்தப் பகைவரும் அவற்றைத் தாக்கத் துணியமாட்டான். அவற்றினாலேயே அவன் தேவர்களை யஜித்து தானம் செய்கிறான்; நீண்ட காலம் அவற்றோடு சேர்ந்து ‘கோபதி’ (மாடுகளின் அதிபதி)வும் உடனிருப்பான்.
