Sukta 5.85
कितवासो यद्रिरिपुर्न दीवि यद्वा घा सत्यमुत यन्न विद्म । सर्वा ता वि ष्य शिथिरेव देवाधा ते स्याम वरुण प्रियासः ॥
kitavā́so yád riripúr ná dīví yád vā ghā satyám utá yán ná vidmá | sárvā tā́ ví sya śithirá-iva devā́dhā te syāma varuṇa priyā́saḥ ||
O que quer que tenhamos feito em jogo imprudente, ou em hostilidade, ou à luz do dia; o que tenhamos feito sabendo-o por verdade, e o que tenhamos feito sem saber — desfaz e afrouxa tudo isso, ó deus, como um laço já frouxo. Então possamos ser-te queridos, ó Varuṇa.
