Sukta 10.142
उत वा उ परि वृणक्षि बप्सद्बहोरग्न उलपस्य स्वधावः । उत खिल्या उर्वराणां भवन्ति मा ते हेतिं तविषीं चुक्रुधाम ॥
utá vā ú páry vṛṇakṣi bápsad bahór agna úlapasya svadhāvaḥ | utá khilyā́ urvárāṇāṃ bhavanti mā́ te hetíṃ taviṣī́ṃ cukrudhāma ||
E tu, de fato, circundas e escolhes o teu caminho, ó Agni, sentado na vasta amplidão, senhor da tua própria lei; e os pousios tornam-se campos férteis. Que não provoquemos a tua arma, a tua força impetuosa; antes, que a tua energia se converta em nosso aumento.
