atha bahūdakā nāma tri-daṇḍa-kamaṇḍalu-śikhā-yajñopavīta-kāṣāya-vastra-dhāriṇo brahmarṣi-gṛhe madhu-māṁsaṁ varjayitvā 'ṣṭau grāsān bhaikṣācaraṇaṁ kṛtvā yoga-mārge mokṣam eva prārthayante ||3||

Otóż ci zwani Bahudakami, dźwigający potrójny kostur, naczynie na wodę, pukiel włosów, świętą nić i szafranowe szaty, unikając miodu i mięsa w domu braminowskiego mędrca, praktykując zbieranie jałmużny i przyjmując osiem kęsów, dążą wyłącznie do wyzwolenia na ścieżce jogi.

Now, those called Bahūdakas—bearing the triple staff, water-pot, topknot, sacred thread, and ochre cloth—having avoided honey and meat in the house of a brahmarṣi, and having practiced alms-round taking eight mouthfuls, seek liberation alone on the path of yoga.
