Sukta 8.69
आ हरयः ससृज्रिरेऽरुषीरधि बर्हिषि । यत्राभि संनवामहे ॥
ā hárayaḥ sasṛjrire ’rúṣīr ádhi barhíṣi | yátrābhí saṃnávāmahe ||
Przyjdźcie - niech płowe moce zostaną uwolnione i umieszczone na świętym siedzeniu, gdzie możemy połączyć się we wspólnej harmonii aspiracji i ofiary.
Soma offering context; preparation/invocation at the barhis for Indra’s arrival (general Soma-yāga setting, e.g., Agniṣṭoma sequence)
Ṛta as ordered convergence of powers in the rite, collective consent (sam-) as prerequisite for divine descent
Saṃnavāmahe is ṛta in action: parts of the being come into right relation.
Order arises when energies are freed and arranged on a consecrated base.
Integral Yoga reading: preparation (purification) + harmonization enabling descent of higher force.
dawn-tint suggested by aruṣīḥ (ruddy)
Horses = vital energies; barhis = purified nervous/psychic ground; dawn-color = energies becoming luminous and obedient to the higher mind.
Release and yoke the life-force to a calm, prepared seat of awareness; unify scattered motives into one upward aspiration.
Maṇipūra (yoking energy) moving toward Ājñā (guidance)
4-4-6 breathing (inhale-hold-exhale) for 7 rounds, then chant once per long exhale.
From scattered vitality to integrated, obedient energy.
Do a brief inner ‘barhis’ preparation: relax body, widen breath, offer the day’s energies; chant 9 times, then sit and feel a unified intention.
Not provided; chant with a clear lift on ‘ā’ (invitation) and a soft settling on ‘barhiṣi’ and ‘saṃnavāmahe’.
Keep consonant clusters clean: sasṛjrire (no extra vowels); aruṣīr adhi (light sandhi flow).
(sasṛjrire): articulate ‘sṛj’ with vocalic ṛ, (aruṣīḥ): long īḥ at end, (barhiṣi): ‘rhi’ conjunct, light aspiration, (saṃ-navāmahe): anusvāra before n—nasalize lightly
Invitational, warm, then composed at the close.
