ये वायव इन्द्रमादनास आदेवासो नितोशनासो अर्यः । घ्नन्तो वृत्राणि सूरिभिः ष्याम सासह्वांसो युधा नृभिरमित्रान् ॥
yé vāyava indrámādanāsa ā́devāso nitóśanāso aryáḥ | ghnánto vṛtrā́ṇi sūríbhíḥ syāma sāsahvā́ṃso yúdhā nṛ́bhir amítrān ||
O Vāyu (moce Wiatru Życia), radujące się w Indrze, zwrócone ku bóstwom i pragnące wzrostu, szlachetne w marszu, niech my, z naszymi oświeconymi przywódcami, uderzymy na Vṛtry. Niech będziemy zwycięzcami w bitwie, przezwyciężając wrogie siły naszymi silnymi ludźmi.
