Sukta 7.87
अव सिन्धुं वरुणो द्यौरिव स्थाद्द्रप्सो न श्वेतो मृगस्तुविष्मान् । गम्भीरशंसो रजसो विमानः सुपारक्षत्रः सतो अस्य राजा ॥
áva síndhuṃ váruṇo dyáur iva sthād drápsō na śvétō mṛgás tuvíṣmān | gambhīráśaṃso rájaso vimā́naḥ supā́rakṣatraḥ sató asyá rājā́ ||
Varuna stoi nad wielką rzeką jak samo niebo, jak biała kropla światła, potężny poruszający się wzrok. Głęboka jest jego mowa; on mierzy światy środkowe. Z pewną i daleko sięgającą władzą jest królem tego istnienia, strzegąc prawdy tego, co jest.
