हवन्त उ त्वा हव्यं विवाचि तनूषु शूराः सूर्यस्य सातौ । त्वं विश्वेषु सेन्यो जनेषु त्वं वृत्राणि रन्धया सुहन्तु ॥
hávanta u tvā havyáṃ vívāci tanū́ṣu śūrā́ḥ sū́ryasya sātáu | tváṃ víśveṣu sényo jáneṣu tváṃ vṛtrā́ṇi randhayā suhántu ||
Wzywają cię, ofiarę, daleko brzmiącym słowem, bohaterowie w swoich ciałach w zdobywaniu Słońca. Ty jesteś godny walki wśród wszystkich ludów; czynisz moce przeszkadzające uległymi, by mogły być dobrze uderzone i zabite.
