त्वामग्ने समिधानं यविष्ठ्य देवा दूतं चक्रिरे हव्यवाहनम् । उरुज्रयसं घृतयोनिमाहुतं त्वेषं चक्षुर्दधिरे चोदयन्मति ॥
tvām agne sam-idhānaṁ yaviṣṭhya devā dūtaṁ cakrire havya-vāhanam | uru-jrayasaṁ ghṛta-yonim āhutaṁ tveṣaṁ cakṣur dadhire codayan-mati ||
Ciebie, o Agni, gdy rozpalony, o najmłodszy i zawsze nowy, bogowie uczynili swoim posłańcem, nosicielem ofiary. Szeroki w swoim naprzód skierowanym pędzie, ze źródłem w wyjaśnionym świetle, wezwany przez ofiarę - jesteś ustanowiony jako groźne Oko, pobudzające myśl ku jej właściwemu ruchowi.
