Sukta 4.16
अपो वृत्रं वव्रिवांसं पराहन्प्रावत्ते वज्रं पृथिवी सचेताः । प्रार्णांसि समुद्रियाण्यैनोः पतिर्भवञ्छवसा शूर धृष्णो ॥
apó vṛtráṃ vavri-vā́ṃsaṃ párāhan prā́vat te vájraṃ pṛthivī́ sá-cetāḥ | prā́rṇāṃsi samudriyā́ṇy aínōḥ pátir bhávān śávasā śūra dhṛ́ṣṇo ||
Uderzyłeś Wṛtrę, który zakrywał wody; Ziemia, zgadzająca się w świadomości, popchnęła naprzód twój piorun. Uwolniłeś oceaniczne prądy, stając się ich panem, o bohaterze, śmiały swoją siłą.
