Sukta 3.3
Agni as messenger in the rite carrying offerings to the gods; inwardly, the psychic fire mediates between mind/body (earth) and luminous mind/spirit (heaven), organizing the ‘home’ (kṣaya) into vastness.
mediation between planes, inner priesthood (purohita within man), dhi (inspired intelligence) as wealth
Agni maintains right interchange—what ascends and what descends—so the system stays ordered.
Dhī-wealth is truth-inspired cognition, not opinion.
Adorning the ‘vast home’ suggests progressive manifestation: consciousness furnishing its inner world with light.
Integral psychological Veda: descent-ascent interplay; inner mediator as key mechanism.
Sky-earth = higher-lower consciousness; home = inner spaciousness; lights = faculties of illumination; messenger = intuition/psychic communication.
Feel a small steady flame ‘seated’ in the heart; on inhale, it rises toward the brow (message upward); on exhale, it spreads light through the chest and abdomen (descent of guidance).
anahata (seat) with ajna (message/light)
Inhale 5 counts (lift), exhale 7 counts (spread/adorn).
Bridged awareness—simultaneous inwardness and wideness.
Before action, ask inwardly: ‘Let the purohita go first.’ Wait for a quiet, luminous consent rather than impulsive reaction.
Keep udātta prominence on antár, dūtáḥ, hotā́, puróhitaḥ, dyúbhiḥ, agníḥ, dhiyā́vasuḥ; allow svarita to soften at the caesura and pāda ends.
First pāda: light, moving articulation (īyate). Second pāda: settle firmly on niṣatto / purohitaḥ. Third-fourth: broaden tone on kṣayaṃ bṛhantam.
antar: clear dental n before t, dūto: long ū, rodasī: long ī at end, niṣatto: retroflex ṣ; geminate tt, purohitaḥ: aspirate h, final ḥ audible, dyubhir: dyu- as ‘dyu’, not ‘ju’, iṣito: retroflex ṣ, short i
Clear and centered; slightly brighter on ‘dyu’ words.
