Outer meaning

He shines like the bright Sun, gleams like gold; he is the best treasure among the gods.

Inner meaning

Rudra is praised in his luminous beneficence: like Sūrya he brings revelation and exposes obscurity; like hiraṇya (gold) he represents incorruptible substance—purified energy that does not tarnish. As ‘best vasu’ he is the supreme inner wealth: the power that converts suffering and disorder into radiant strength and true value in the being.

Universal truth

The highest ‘wealth’ is luminous consciousness—clarity and purity that enrich life from within and cannot be diminished by outer change.
