तां वां धेनुं न वासरीमंशुं दुहन्त्यद्रिभिः सोमं दुहन्त्यद्रिभिः । अस्मत्रा गन्तमुप नोऽर्वाञ्चा सोमपीतये । अयं वां मित्रावरुणा नृभिः सुतः सोम आ पीतये सुतः ॥
tā́ṃ vāṃ dhenúṃ ná vāsarīm áṃśuṃ duhanty ádribhiḥ sómaṃ duhanty ádribhiḥ | asmatrā́ gántam úpa no ’rvā́ñcā sómapītaye | ayáṃ vāṃ mitrāvaruṇā nṛ́bhíḥ sutáḥ sóma ā́ pītáye sutáḥ ||
Tę łodygę Somy, jak krowę mleczną bogatą w pożywny przepływ, doją oni kamieniami do tłoczenia; doją Somę kamieniami do tłoczenia. Przyjdźcie tutaj do nas, zwracając się ku nam, dla picia Somy. Ta Soma dla was, o Mitro i Waruno, jest tłoczona przez ludzi, tłoczona do picia.
