होतारं त्वा वृणीमहेऽग्ने दक्षस्य साधनम् । यज्ञेषु पूर्व्यं गिरा प्रयस्वन्तो हवामहे ॥
Transliteration
hótāraṁ tvā vṛṇīmahé’gne dákṣasya sā́dhanam | yajñéṣu pū́rvyaṁ girā́ práyasvanto havāmahe ||
Translation
ହେ ଅଗ୍ନି, ଆମେ ତୁମକୁ ହୋତାର (ଅନ୍ତର୍ୟାଜକ) ଭାବେ ବରଣ କରୁ—ଦକ୍ଷ (ବିବେକଶକ୍ତି ଓ ଯଥାଯଥ କୌଶଳ)ର ସାଧନକାରୀ ଭାବେ। ଯଜ୍ଞମାନଙ୍କରେ, ପୂର୍ବ୍ୟ (ପ୍ରାଚୀନ)ଙ୍କୁ, ଗିରା (ବାଣୀ) ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆମେ ଆହ୍ୱାନ କରୁ—ଆମେ ପ୍ରୟସ୍ୱନ୍ତ (ଉତ୍ସାହ ଓ ଯଥାଯଥ ପ୍ରୟାସରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ) ଅଟୁ।
