आवदँस्त्वं शकुने भद्रमा वद तूष्णीमासीनः सुमतिं चिकिद्धि नः । यदुत्पतन्वदसि कर्करिर्यथा बृहद्वदेम विदथे सुवीराः ॥

Transliteration

ā́vadaṃs tvaṃ śakune bhadrám ā́ vada tū́ṣṇīm āsī́naḥ sumatíṃ cikiddhi naḥ | yád utpátan vádasi karkarír yáthā bṛhád vadema vidáthe suvī́rāḥ ||

Translation

ହେ ଶକୁନେ (ପକ୍ଷୀ), ତୁମେ କଥା କହୁଥିଲେ ଆମକୁ ଭଦ୍ର ବଚନ କହ; ଏବଂ ତୁମେ ନିରବ ହୋଇ ବସିଥିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆମ ମନରେ ସୁମତି—ଠିକ୍ ବୁଦ୍ଧି—ଜାଗ୍ରତ କର। ତୁମେ ଉଡ଼ିଉଠି କର୍କରୀ ପରି ଧ୍ୱନି କରିବାବେଳେ, ଆମେ ବିଦଥ (ସଭା/ଯଜ୍ଞସଭା)ରେ ବୃହତ୍—ବିଶାଳ ସତ୍ୟ—କହିବାକୁ ପାରିବା ଏବଂ ସୁବୀରାଃ—ବୀରଶକ୍ତିରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ—ହେବାକୁ ପାରିବା।
