ଏହି ସଂମନସ୍ୟର ସଂକ୍ଷିପ୍ତ ସୂକ୍ତଟି ସାମାଜିକ ସମ୍ମତି ପାଇଁ ଏକ କେନ୍ଦ୍ରିତ ମନ୍ତ୍ର: ଏହା ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀକୁ ଏକେଇ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ, ହୃଦୟ ଓ ମନରେ ବାନ୍ଧିଦିଏ, ଯାହାଦ୍ୱାରା ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ଓ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଦଳାଦଳି ବିନା ଉଦ୍ଭବ ହୁଏ। ଏହା ମାନବ ଏକତାକୁ “ପୁରାତନ” ଦେବମାନଙ୍କ ଆଦର୍ଶ ଉପରେ ଗଢ଼େ—ଯେମାନେ ପରସ୍ପର ସମ୍ମତିରେ ନିଜ ଭାଗ ବାଣ୍ଟନ୍ତି—ଏବଂ ଦିବ୍ୟ ସମ୍ମତିକୁ ସମୁଦାୟୀକ ସଂହତିର ଢାଞ୍ଚା କରେ।

सांमनस्यम्। सं जा॑नीध्वं॒ सं पृ॑च्यध्वं॒ सं वो॒ मनां॑सि जानताम्। दे॒वा भा॒गं यथा॒ पूर्वे॑ संजाना॒ना उ॒पास॑ते
ଏକମନ ହୁଅ; ସଙ୍ଗେ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଜାଣ; ସଙ୍ଗେ ସଙ୍ଗେ ପରସ୍ପର ମିଶ; ତୁମ ମନ ଏକେ ଜ୍ଞାନରେ ଏକତ୍ର ହେଉ। ପୂର୍ବକାଳର ଦେବମାନେ ଏକମତ ହୋଇ ନିଜ ଭାଗ (ହବି/ଅଂଶ)କୁ ଉପାସନା କରନ୍ତି, ସେପରି ତୁମେ ମଧ୍ୟ (ଏକତାରେ ରୁହ)।

स॒मा॒नो मन्त्रः॒ समि॑तिः समा॒नी स॑मा॒नं व्र॒तं स॒ह चि॒त्तमे॑षाम्। स॒मा॒नेन॑ वो ह॒विषा॑ जुहोमि समा॒नं चेतो॑ अभि॒संवि॑शध्वम्
ମନ୍ତ୍ର ସମାନ ହେଉ, ସମିତି (ସଭା) ସମାନ ହେଉ; ବ୍ରତ ସମାନ ହେଉ, ଏବଂ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଚିତ୍ତ ମଧ୍ୟ ସହିତ ସମାନ ହେଉ। ସମାନ ହବିଷା ଦ୍ୱାରା ମୁଁ ତୁମମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଆହୁତି ଦେଉଛି; ଏକେ ଚେତନାରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କର—ଏକତାରେ ଏକାତ୍ମ ହେଉ।

स॒मा॒नी व॒ आकू॑तिः समा॒ना हृद॑यानि वः । स॒मा॒नम॑स्तु वो॒ मनो॒ यथा॑ वः॒ सुस॒हास॑ति
ତୁମମାନଙ୍କର ଆକୂତି (ସଙ୍କଳ୍ପ) ସମାନ ହେଉ; ହୃଦୟମାନ ସମାନ ହେଉ। ତୁମମାନଙ୍କର ମନ ମଧ୍ୟ ସମାନ ହେଉ, ଯେପରି ତୁମମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସୁସହାସତି—ସୁମତିର ସହମତି ଓ ଶୁଭ ସମ୍ମିଳନ ରହୁ।
