FAQs

Enumerative deity lists are a hallmark of Purāṇic composition, serving to connect local sacred geography with pan-Indic cosmological hierarchies.

The verse uses “tatra” (“there”), referring back to the previously described setting (Lohārgala region) without adding a new place-name.

Indirectly, it frames the site as a shared cosmic commons—sanctity is portrayed as collective and ordered rather than private or arbitrary.
