Sukta 8.48
यो न इन्दुः पितरो हृत्सु पीतोऽमर्त्यो मर्त्याँ आविवेश । तस्मै सोमाय हविषा विधेम मृळीके अस्य सुमतौ स्याम ॥
yó na índuḥ pitaro hṛ́tsu pītó'martyó martyā́m̐ āviveśa | tásmai sómāya havíṣā vidhema mṛḷīké asya su-matáu syāma ||
Indu ini, wahai Para Bapa Leluhur, yang diminum di dalam hati—yang abadi—telah memasuki insan yang fana. Kepada Soma itu, dengan persembahan kami, kami hendak berbakti; dalam rahmatnya dan dalam budi baiknya semoga kami bernaung.
