अग्निं मन्द्रं पुरुप्रियं शीरं पावकशोचिषम् । हृद्भिर्मन्द्रेभिरीमहे ॥
Transliteration
agníṃ mandráṃ puru-priyáṃ śīráṃ pāvaka-śóciṣam | hṛ́dbhir mandrébhir īmahe ||
Translation
Kami memohon Agni—yang mengasyikkan, yang amat dikasihi, yang teguh dan bercahaya dengan nyala penyuci—dengan hati kami yang penuh kemanisan puji.
