Sukta 6.17
एवा पाहि प्रत्नथा मन्दतु त्वा श्रुधि ब्रह्म वावृधस्वोत गीर्भिः । आविः सूर्यं कृणुहि पीपिहीषो जहि शत्रूँरभि गा इन्द्र तृन्धि ॥
evā́ pāhi pratná-thā mándatu tvā śrudhí bráhma vāvṛdhasvóta gī́rbhiḥ | āvíḥ sū́ryaṃ kṛṇuhí pīpihī́ṣo jahí śátrūn abhí gā́ indra tṛndhi ||
Demikianlah, peliharalah dan terimalah ia seperti dahulu; biarlah ia menggembirakanmu—dengarlah mantra dan bertambah kuatlah dengan puji-pujian kami. Nyatakanlah Surya; dengan Soma yang meluap, tumbangkanlah musuh-musuh; halaukanlah sinar-sinar/“lembu-lembu” itu kepada kami, wahai Indra.
