Sukta 5.44
यो जागार तमृचः कामयन्ते यो जागार तमु सामानि यन्ति । यो जागार तमयं सोम आह तवाहमस्मि सख्ये न्योकाः ॥
yó jāgā́ra tám ṛ́caḥ kāmayante yó jāgā́ra tám u sāmā́ni yanti | yó jāgā́ra tám ayám sóma āha távā́ham asmi sakhyé nyòkāḥ ||
Dia yang telah berjaga—dialah yang diingini kata-kata Ṛk; dia yang telah berjaga—kepadanya nyanyian Sāman menuju. Dia yang telah berjaga—tentang dialah Soma ini berkata: ‘Aku milikmu dalam persahabatan, menetap bersamamu.’
