Sukta 10.33
अधि पुत्रोपमश्रवो नपान्मित्रातिथेरिहि । पितुष्टे अस्मि वन्दिता ॥
ádhi putrópama-śravo nápān mitrā́tither ihí | pitúṣ ṭe asmi vanditā́ ||
Datanglah ke sini, wahai putera Upamaśravas, zuriat Mitrātithi; aku ini pemuji bagimu—berdiri di atas asas Sang Bapa, aku mempersembahkan penghormatanku kepadamu.
Used to ‘call’ the power/lineage into presence; supports continuity of mantra-force in rite and in the inner discipline.
paramparā (transmission as continuity of force), foundation in the ‘Father’ (source-principle)
The ‘family/line’ and ‘Father-foundation’ imply fidelity to rita: revelation must stand on the true basis, not ego impulse.
Śravas as truth-hearing; praise (vanditā) is alignment with satya.
Emanation/descent (napāt) of powers from a higher origin into the human field.
Proto-Vedāntic/Integral (Aurobindonian) reading: descent of higher consciousness into mind-life.
Grounding in the ‘Father’ corresponds to stabilizing awareness in the deepest self (ātman/psychic) so higher inspiration can act without distortion.
Invoke the faculty of ‘higher hearing’ (intuition/inner guidance) and place it on the stable base of the Self.
Anahata (heart/psychic center) as ‘foundation’; Ajna as ‘hearing/receiving’ intuition
Gentle nāḍī-śodhana 6–6 count, then one inhalation silently ‘ihi’ (come), one exhalation ‘vanditā’ (I bow).
Receptive, centered, quietly devoted.
Before decisions or study, repeat the verse 9 times; feel the ‘guest of Truth’ welcomed within, and let intuition descend without haste.
Use the pada text accents as guide; maintain udātta peaks on accented syllables (e.g.,, ) with gentle svarita fall; avoid over-musicalization.
Keep a clear rise on marked udātta; let following syllable relax (anudātta). Pause lightly at the | caesura.
adhi: clean ‘dh’ (aspirated dental), upamaśravo: keep ‘śr’ cluster crisp, not ‘sr’, napān: long ā; nasalize lightly before n, mitrātitheḥ: long ā; ‘th’ aspirated, pituḥ: short i, visarga audible but soft
Clear, inviting, inwardly smiling tone; end with a soft settling on vanditā.
