Sukta 1.173
यज्ञो हि ष्मेन्द्रं कश्चिदृन्धञ्जुहुराणश्चिन्मनसा परियन् । तीर्थे नाच्छा तातृषाणमोको दीर्घो न सिध्रमा कृणोत्यध्वा ॥
yajñó hí ṣméndraṃ káś cid ṛ́ndhan júhūrāṇaś cin mánasā pariyán | tī́rthe nā́cchā tātṛṣāṇám óko dī́rgho na sidhmám ā́ kṛṇoty ádhvā ||
Kerana yajña (korban suci) sesungguhnya dapat memenangi Indra—seseorang, bahkan ketika mempersembahkan, beredar dengan fikiran. Seperti tempat menyeberang yang dihampiri, ia sampai ke rumah yang diingini; seperti jalan yang panjang, ia menyediakan laluan yang lurus menuju matlamatnya.
