दृळ्हा चिदस्मा अनु दुर्यथा विदे तेजिष्ठाभिररणिभिर्दाष्ट्यवसेऽग्नये दाष्ट्यवसे । प्र यः पुरूणि गाहते तक्षद्वनेव शोचिषा । स्थिरा चिदन्ना नि रिणात्योजसा नि स्थिराणि चिदोजसा ॥

dṛḷhā cid asmai ánu duryáthā vide téjiṣṭhābhir araṇíbhir dā́ṣṭy ávase ’gnáye dā́ṣṭy ávase | prá yáḥ purū́ṇi gā́hate tákṣad vánā iva śóciṣā | sthirā́ cid ánnā ní riṇāty ójasā ní sthirā́ṇi cid ójasā ||

Bahkan halangan yang kukuh pun tunduk kepadanya, dan jalan-jalan yang sukar menjadi dapat diketahui: dengan kayu-gesek (araṇi) yang paling menyala dia menyalakan Agni demi pertolongan kami, dia menyalakan Agni demi pertolongan kami. Dia yang merempuh banyak selubung, dia menetak dengan nyalanya seperti orang membelah kayu. Dengan kekuatannya dia memecahkan bahkan yang tetap; dengan kekuatannya dia memecahkan bahkan yang teguh.
