चित्रकूटमार्गोपदेशः
Instructions for the Chitrakuta Route and the Yamuna Crossing
इति पन्थानमावेद्य महर्षिस्सन्यवर्तत।।।।अभिवाद्य तथेत्युक्त्वा रामेण विनिवर्तितः।
iti panthānam āvedya maharṣiḥ sa nyavartata |
abhivādya tathety uktvā rāmeṇa vinivartitaḥ ||
Setelah demikian menerangkan jalan, maharsi itu pun berpaling pulang; dan Rāma, sambil berkata, “Demikianlah,” serta bersujud hormat, memohon baginda kembali.
The great sage returned after instructing Rama about the path. So be it, said Rama and offering obeisance requested Bharadhwaja to go back.
Dharma here is courteous reciprocity: after receiving guidance, Rāma affirms it respectfully and ensures the sage need not accompany them further.
Bharadvāja gives directions; Rāma accepts them and, after saluting, asks the sage to return to his āśrama.
Gratitude and decorum—Rāma’s respectful acceptance of counsel and concern for the sage’s comfort.
