गोजिन्नः सोमो रथजिद्धिरण्यजित्स्वर्जिदब्जित्पवते सहस्रजित् । यं देवासश्चक्रिरे पीतये मदं स्वादिष्ठं द्रप्समरुणं मयोभुवम् ॥
go-jín naḥ sómo ratha-jíd hiraṇyá-jít svaḥ-jíd abjít pavate sahasra-jít | yáṃ devā́saś cakriré pītáye mádaṃ svā́diṣṭhaṃ drápsam aruṇáṃ mayo-bhúvam ||
आपला सोम पवते—प्रवाहित होतो—गोजित् (गो/किरणांचा विजेता), रथजित् (रथ—गती/प्रगती—चा विजेता), हिरण्यजित् (सुवर्ण-समृद्धीचा विजेता), स्वर्जित् (स्वर्—दीप्त लोक—चा विजेता), अब्जित् (अप्/जलाचा विजेता), सहस्रजित् (हजारो शक्तींचा विजेता)। ज्याला देवांनी पीतये—पानासाठी—मदं (उन्माद/आनंद-रस) म्हणून घडविले आहे: स्वादिष्ठं द्रप्सम्—अतिशय मधुर थेंब—अरुणं (उषा-लाल) मयोभुवम् (कल्याण-जनक)।
