दक्षिणा—सद्विवेक व यज्ञदानाची शक्ती—प्रवाहात सोडली जाते; शुष्मवान् (बलवान) सिद्धीच्या आसनापाशी येतो. जागृत व सतर्क राहून तो द्रुह व रक्षस् यांपासून रक्षण करतो. हरितवर्ण सोम आपला तेजस्वी अलंकार घडवितो; आणि चमु (पात्र) यावर ब्रह्माला शुद्धीच्या वस्त्राप्रमाणे आच्छादन करून पसरवितो.
