Sukta 9.69
सिन्धोरिव प्रवणे निम्न आशवो वृषच्युता मदासो गातुमाशत । शं नो निवेशे द्विपदे चतुष्पदेऽस्मे वाजाः सोम तिष्ठन्तु कृष्टयः ॥
síndhor-iva pravaṇé nímna āśávo vṛ́ṣa-cyutā mádāso gātúm āśata | śáṃ no nivēśé dvi-padé catúṣ-padé ’smé vājā́ḥ soma tiṣṭhantu kṛ́ṣṭayaḥ ||
जशी नदी उतारावरून निम्न भूमीकडे वेगाने धावते, तशी वृषभाने ओतलेली उन्मादरूप (मद) झपाट्याची प्रवाहधारा आपला मार्ग गाठते. आमच्या निवासस्थानी द्विपद व चतुष्पदांस कल्याण असो; आमच्यात, हे सोम, बलसमृद्धी (वाजाः) स्थिर राहो, आणि प्रजा दृढपणे प्रतिष्ठित होवोत.
