Sukta 9.69
इषुर्न धन्वन्प्रति धीयते मतिर्वत्सो न मातुरुप सर्ज्यूधनि । उरुधारेव दुहे अग्र आयत्यस्य व्रतेष्वपि सोम इष्यते ॥
iṣúr ná dhánvan práti dhīyate matír vatsó ná mātúr úpa sarjí ū́rdhani | urúdhārā-iva duhḗ ágre āyátī ásya vratéṣv ápi sóma iṣyate ||
धनुष्यावर ठेवलेल्या बाणाप्रमाणे मति (विचार) लक्ष्याकडे स्थिरपणे धीयते (धारण केली जाते); आईच्या फुगलेल्या स्तन-थनाकडे वासरू जसे धावते तसे ती धावते. अग्रभागी तो उरुधारा (विस्तीर्ण-धारा) प्रवाह दुहतो; आपल्या व्रतांमध्ये (नियत नियमांमध्ये) असूनही सोम यज्ञ-सिद्धीसाठी पुढे सरसावतो.
