Sukta 6.72
इन्द्रासोमा महि तद्वां महित्वं युवं महानि प्रथमानि चक्रथुः । युवं सूर्यं विविदथुर्युवं स्वर्विश्वा तमांस्यहतं निदश्च ॥
indrā́somā mahí tád vāṃ mahitváṃ yuváṃ mahā́ni prathamā́ni cakrathuḥ | yuváṃ sū́ryaṃ vividáthur yuváṃ svàr viśvā́ tamā́ṃsy ahataṃ nidáś ca ||
हे इंद्रा-सोमा, महान आहे तुमचे ते महत्त्व; तुम्ही दोघांनी प्रथम महान कर्मे घडविली। तुम्ही सूर्य आणि स्वः (स्वर्) यांचा शोध लावला; तुम्ही सर्व तमसे आणि अंतःकरणातील शत्रु-नाद (निदस्) यांनाही आघात करून पाडले।
