ऊर्ध्व ऊ षु णो अध्वरस्य होतरग्ने तिष्ठ देवताता यजीयान् । त्वं हि विश्वमभ्यसि मन्म प्र वेधसश्चित्तिरसि मनीषाम् ॥
ūrdhvó u ṣú ṇo adhvarasyá hotar agne tíṣṭha deva-tātā́ yajī́yān | tváṃ hí víśvam abhyási mánma prá védhasaś cít tirási manīṣā́m ||
आमच्यासाठी यज्ञाचा होतृ, उभा राहा; हे अग्ने, देवताता (देवांना प्रतिष्ठित करणारा), यजीयान् (अर्पणास सर्वाधिक योग्य), स्थिर उभा रहा. कारण तू आमच्या सर्व मननाला सर्वतोमुखी व्यापतोस; हे वेधस्, तू प्रेरितांच्या मनीषेची विवेकी चित्ती आहेस—समज-शक्तीला पुढे नेणारा तूच आहेस.
